The Ranks
The Baron is the leader of the entire Kami clan. He is to be respected and obeyed, and has absolute rule over the clan.
The Captain is the second in command next to the baron. Not only is the captain a well-trusted comrade of the baron, but they also must be powerful and cunning.
Elites are those exceptional few that have caught the eye of the baron himself. Only the baron can appoint these elite soldiers of the clan, who had more power and influence than the regular grunts.
Grunts are lesser warriors than the elites, but are still a vital part of the clan. They are the main fighters and hunters for the clan. Their loyalty is unquestioned, and they are well-respected members of the clan.
New Bloods are the newer additions to the clan, or the young that may occur. They have yet to prove themselves as an asset to the clan, but are still treated with respect. Those new bloods who fail to prove themselves valuable to the clan, or manage to get on the baron's bad side, will be demoted to a servant.
Servants are the most lowly of scum to be found in the clan. Trespassers, prisoners of war, the disloyal, and the worthless of the clan are regarded as servants. They have no value to the clan, and thus are treated poorly. Leaving is forbidden, and any would-be escapee automatically makes the Kami's hit-list.
